1. januar 2024 skiftet vi navn fra Oljedirektoratet til Sokkeldirektoratet. Sokkeldirektoratet har som hovedmål å bidra til størst mulig verdier for samfunnet fra olje- og gassvirksomheten gjennom en effektiv og forsvarlig ressursforvaltning, der det tas hensyn til helse, miljø, sikkerhet og til andre brukere av havet.
